Ian Ngui

Podiatrist

Ian Ngui is a podiatrist with a strong passion for helping people move better, feel better and perform at their best – whether that’s out on the pitch or simply getting through the day without pain. With a particular interest in biomechanics and musculoskeletal injuries, Ian brings both clinical skill and research-driven insight to his work.

Currently completing his PhD at the University of South Australia, Ian’s research explores how football boot design impacts biomechanics, comfort and physical performance – combining his love of sport with a deep curiosity about human movement. He also tutors biomechanics at UniSA and works with the Adelaide Comets FC, where he supports athletes in injury prevention, rehab and performance optimisation.

At Connect, Ian enjoys working with a broad range of clients – from everyday walkers to competitive athletes – with a focus on sports injuries, biomechanical and gait assessments, orthotic therapy, and conditions like plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinopathy. He’s especially passionate about guiding people through recovery and helping them build confidence with every step.

Outside the clinic, you’ll usually find Ian staying active with friends and family – playing soccer, badminton, or exploring new hiking spots.
