Dr. Ryan Bonney
Managing Director & Chiropractor
Dr. Ryan Bonney graduated from Macquarie University, in Sydney, with his Bachelor of Chiropractic Science in 2008; prior to completing his Master of Chiropractic in 2010. He has worked with a range of healthcare teams both internationally, interstate, and in his hometown of Adelaide; using that extensive experience in the creation of what has become Connect Healthcare.
Ryan has a strong “active care” paradigm, being around the fitness industry from an early age and ultimately running an Adelaide-based gym for several years. He is a qualified Strength & Conditioning Coach, and when he is not consulting downstairs, he is running classes upstairs in our fitness studio.
Ryan completed his qualification in neuromusculoskeletal rehabilitation in 2015, earning him the title of Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board (DACNB). He has received comprehensive training in the areas of spinal diagnosis, migraine & headache, dizziness & balance disorders, and chronic pain; provided by Chiropractic Development International (CDI). In 2022 Ryan went on to become a Diplomate of the International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (DIANM). He has also undergone further training in the diagnosis and management of chronic pain conditions through the Neuro Orthopaedic Institute (NOI) in 2017.
Dr. Bonney is a member of the Australian Chiropractic College (ACC) faculty – teaching Clinical Neuroscience, and Diagnosis.
Areas of interest
Ryan’s areas of clinical interest include chronic spinal pain, lower back injury and sciatica, neck and whiplash disorders, as well as age-related deconditioning. He often uses manual therapy and dry needling as an adjunct to exercise rehabilitation.
Ryan is an active member of the Australian Strength & Conditioning Association (ASCA).
